Philobryidae: Philobrya rubra (Hedley, 1904) (‘reddish micromussel’)

Synonym(s): rubra Hedley, 1904.

Typical shell-length 3.8 mm. Lives subtidally in crevices amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a widespread and common species.
