Synonym(s): macphersonae Burn, 1962.

Typical body-length 30 mm. Lives subtidally amongst corals. Native. Occurs in southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA); also elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific.
