Synonym(s): varicifera relata Cotton, 1944 varicifera Cotton, 1944 relata Cotton, 1944 laterna Cotton, 1952.

Typical shell-length 3.4 mm. Lives subtidally and offshore in sand and mud. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
