Eratoidae: Proterato (Sulcerato) lachryma (Sowerby I, 1832) (‘common teardrop’)
Synonym(s): lachryma Sowerby, 1832 denticulata Pritchard & Gatliff, 1901.
Typical shell-length 7.0 mm. Resembles a Mesoginella, but outer lip densely toothed. Lives subtidally and offshore under rocks and stones. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a rare species, most likely to be found in the N or NE.
