Columbellidae – Atiliinae: Pseudamycla dermestoidea (Lamarck, 1822) (‘dermestoid dove-shell’)

Synonym(s): dermestoidea Lamarck, 1822 maculosa Pease, 1871 lineolata Tryon, 1883
Typical shell-length 10 mm. More slender and more finely patterned than P. miltostoma. Lives subtidally amongst seaweed and seagrass. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this is a rare species, most reliably recorded from the far S.
