
Muricidae – Muricinae: Pterochelus duffusi Iredale, 1936 (‘Duffus’s murex’)
Synonym(s): duffusi Iredale, 1936 phillipsi Vokes, 1966.
Typical shell-length 60 mm. Lives subtidally amongst rocks and seaweed. Native. Endemic to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this species is recorded from off the east coast.
