Ostreidae – Crassostreinae: Saccostrea glomerata (Gould, 1850) (‘Sydney rock-oyster’)
Synonym(s): glomerata Gould, 1850.
Typical shell-length 100 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally attached to rocks by the left valve. Non-native. Occurs in northern and eastern Australia (NT, QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC); also elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific.
