Gastropteridae: Sagaminopteron ornatum Tokioka & Baba, 1964 (‘bat-wing sea-slug’)

Synonym(s): ornatum Tokioka & Baba, 1964.
Typical body-length 25 mm. Lives intertidally and subtidally on sponges, specifically a grey sponge species on which it feeds. Native. Occurs all around Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS, VIC, SA, WA and NT); also elsewhere in the Indo-Pacific.
