Ranellidae – Cymatiinae: Sassia (Austrotriton) mimetica (Tate, 1893) (‘mimetic rock-whelk’)

Synonym(s): mimetica Tate, 1893.
Typical shell-length 25 mm. Lives in offshore waters. Native. Endemic to southern and southwestern Australia (TAS, SA and WA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is currently known only from a single record offshore from the northwest coast.
