Ischnochitonidae – Ischnochitoninae: Stenochiton cymodocealis Ashby, 1918 (‘common seagrass-chiton’)

Typical shell-length 45 mm. Lives subtidally amongst seagrass, specifically attached to the stems and basal leaves of Amphibolis antarctica, remaining hidden below sand-level by day. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
