Ischnochitonidae – Ischnochitoninae: Stenochiton pilsbryanus (Bednall, 1896) (‘Pilsbry’s seagrass-chiton’)
Synonym(s): pilsbryanus Bednall, 1897.
Typical shell-length 45 mm. Lives subtidally amongst seagrass, especially attached to leaf-bases of Heterozostera nigricaulis and Posidonia spp, remaining low down by day. Native. Endemic to southeastern and southwestern Australia (TAS, VIC, SA and WA).
