Thraciidae: Thraciopsis (Thraciopsis) peroniana Iredale, 1924 (‘Peron’s thracia’)
Synonym(s): peroniana Iredale, 1924.
Typical shell-length 15 mm. One valve is flattened, the other inflated. Lives subtidally in sand in exposed environments. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is largely confined to the E and NE coast, where locally common.
