Muricidae – Typhinae: Typhis phillipensis Watson, 1883 (‘Port Philip murex’)
Synonym(s): phillipensis Watson, 1883.
Typical shell-length 15 mm. Lives in offshore waters. Native. Endemic to eastern Australia (QLD, NSW, TAS and VIC). In Tasmanian waters, this is an offshore species, known only from deep waters off the E and S coast.
