Ungulinidae: Zemysia tasmanica Tenison Woods, 1877 (in part) (‘Tasmanian globe-shell’)
Synonym(s): tasmanica Tenison-Woods, 1877.
Typical shell-length 25 mm. The dark periostracum is quite persistent. Lives subtidally and offshore in sand, especially in moderately exposed environments. Native. Endemic to southeastern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC and SA). In Tasmanian waters, this species is recorded from scattered localities, most regularly in the SE.
